SMART pupils from King’s Stanley Primary School have raised more than £1,000 for children in Syria.
The students on the school council gave every child a tube of Smarties which they were asked to fill with coins and then donate the money to the charity Save The Children.
All the loose change from the tubes, plus one grandad’s carrier bag of change, added up to a total of £655.05 which the Government has pledged to match bringing it up to £1310.10.
