POLICE are appealing for information after a man was robbed in Stratton Road in Gloucester at the end of last week.

The 33-year-old victim was walking with friends in the area between 10.20pm and 10.35pm on Thursday January 30 when four men stepped out from behind a car and attacked him.

During the incident the victim was punched and scratched and a knife was brandished by the offenders.

The victim suffered several minor knife wounds to his arm and back before managing to get free with his friends.

He was treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and discharged shortly afterwards.

Anyone who witnessed the offence or with any information should call 101, quoting incident 467 of January 30.
