STORYTELLING and visits from illustrators and authors enthralled pupils at Rodborough Primary School's book week.
All week, children were encouraged to read with a range of events including visits from authors John Dougherty and Tom Palmer and illustrators Hannah Shaw and Tom Percival.
Headteacher Maggie Halsey said: "The week aims to encourage children to read and stir their interest in books."
"Each day was set to be a celebration of books, authors and illustrators, designed to enthuse everyone about the joys of reading."
Children dressed up as their favourite book characters to kick off the week and donations were made to Nailsworth-based reading charity ReadWell.
