TWO men escaped from a car after it left the road and plunged into a pond at the B4696 Spine Road East and Spine Road West junction near Ashton Keynes, last night (February 12).

It is unknown why the silver Vauxhall Corsa, which was driven by a 22-year-old, left the road at around 9.55pm.

The 56-year old passenger was suffering from cold and minor injuries and was treated at the the scene by paramedics.

Police and firefighters also attended the incident.

It is believed the men, who were from Liverpool, had been staying at a nearby hotel.
