Man charged after woman grabbed in Cheltenham

A MAN has been charged in connection with an incident in which a woman was grabbed around the neck in Cheltenham.

Daniel John Stainton, 22 and of Princess Elizabeth Way in Cheltenham, will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court today charged with committing an offence with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence.

The charge relates to an incident in King Street in the town at around 2am yesterday (Tuesday February 11).

A woman was propositioned as she walked in the area before being grabbed around the neck. The incident ended when another man intervened.
