A BOY was hurt after another boy tried to rob him of his scooter. The incident happened near Crypt School on Podsmead Road in Gloucester between 9pm and 9.30pm on Friday, February 7.

The 13-year-old victim was walking with his friends when two boys approached him. One of the boys asked him if he could ride on his scooter before hitting him with a stick and punching him in the face.

The victim managed to run away without handing over his scooter but had suffered a small cut to his lip and tenderness to his legs.

A passing motorist then picked up the boys and drove them home.

Officers are urging that motorist, who could be a key witness, to come forward.

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 441 of February 7.
