A MAN has been charged with the murder of 20-year-old hairdresser Hollie Gazzard.
Asher Thomas Maslin, aged 22, of Gloucester Road, Cheltenham, will appear before magistrates in Cheltenham tomorrow (February 21) in connection with the incident at Fringe Benefits & La Bella Beauty in Southgate Street, Gloucester, on Tuesday evening.
In a statement Gloucestershire Police reminded the public and media of the Contempt of Court act and of their obligation not to report anything that could prejudice or interfere with criminal proceedings.
The senior investigating officer in the case, DCI Steve Bean, also thanked those who had contacted the police.
"I would like to say a personal thank you to everyone who has spoken to us about Hollie's death and also to those who have respected the privacy of Hollie's family at this difficult time," he said.
"We understand this is a case that has affected many people. The Gloucestershire branch of Victim Support is able to offer free support and advice and you can contact them on 0845 456 6099."
