CYCLING the length of Britain alone, Ross Bingham is attempting to raise £1,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital, writes Alice Barrett.
Ex-marine Ross set off from Land’s End on Valentine’s Day and headed for John O’Groats.
He stopped off at his mum’s house in Ebley, for his 32nd birthday on Monday, February 17
Ross said: “I’ve been blown away by the support of family and friends.
"I have always been passionate about the incredible, life-changing work undertaken at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Travelling unsupported with an overnight tent, Ross is aiming to complete 80 miles a day and to reach his goal in Scotland this weekend.
Recent weather hasn't yet defeated him and he said he has used his experience and training from serving with the Royal Marines in Afghanistan to battle through stormy conditions.
So far Ross has raised £360 for the charity.
