A 59-YEAR-OLD man stole £6 worth of meat from Iceland in Stroud, a court heard.

Roderick MacGregor, of Slad Road, Stroud, was given a three month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 in costs plus a £15 victim surcharge at Stroud Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

MacGregor admitted stealing various items of meat on January 14.

In his defence, the court was told that MacGregor had taken more anti-depressants than he should have done.
