CHILDREN at Avening Primary School were taught how to write their names in shorthand when SNJ reporter Hayley Mortimer visited their classroom last week.

The pupils are planning their end of term newspaper and had prepared a list of questions to quiz Hayley with during her visit on Wednesday, March 5.

They learnt about the journalism industry, how reporters find news and the various places they visit to carry out interviews.
