FOREST Green Rovers youth coach Jason Scrivens is hoping for a close finish if he reaches his fundraising target ahead of the London Marathon next month.

Father-of-four Jason, 40, will have his full body waxed on the pitch at a FGR game at half-time if he raises between £500 and £1,000 in March.

Jason, of Arundel Mill Lane, Stroud, is hoping to raise £2,000 for disabled children’s charity Get Kids Going ahead of the 26-mile race on April 13.

"I thought it would be a good way to encourage people to donate," said Jason, who plays for Slimbridge FC and coaches the FGR U12s team.

"I know it's going to be painful but it is for a good cause."

Get Kids Going supplies equipment to disabled children and young people to assist them in playing sports at amateur and Paralympic levels.

"After going to watch the London Paralympic games I was inspired to raise money for the charity,” said Jason, who ran the Stroud half marathon in October as a warm up.

He recently held a collection at the FGR home game against Cambridge on Saturday, March 8.To sponsor Jason go to http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JasonScrivens
