IT WASN’T the normal language you would expect from a Member of Parliament.
Twitter followers of Stroud MP Neil Carmichael were rather surprised on Saturday morning when they read a post on his account saying: “OMG this blog by you is crazy” followed by “I’m lol’n so much right now at this.”
Dozens of tweets were sent littered with ‘HAHAs’, ‘LOLs’, ‘ROFLs’ and ‘LMAOs’ with links to spam websites.
In fact the account had been hacked and Mr Carmichael quickly deleted the rogue posting and apologised to his 2,238 followers.
“Many apologies. My Twitter account was hacked but order has now been restored,” he said.
“Please ignore the many messages sent earlier.
“Several obvious tweets posted on Saturday morning should be ignored.”
