Surely by 2017 we should have evolved into a cashless society. A physical note or coin is outdated. With the 'contactless payment' becoming more and more common, I hardly ever have to use coins. It's so much easier to pay by card. We should be thinking about a plan to get rid of physical currrency.
Along with hoverboards , everyone dressed in silver jumpsuits, moon colonies and all meals in tablet form.
Ha Ha, I don't think hoverboards will be until at least 2018! ;)

Seriously though, just look how over a short period of time how we have so many non cash payment methods. As I say, most shops and some pubs I pay by tapping my debit card on the reader. Oyster is another example. Then just standard chip and pin. Cash per se weighs your pocket down and is just a pain. If you wish it to be then even now, a cashless existence is almost possible. It's only a matter of time."
