Pensioners should think themselves lucky for what they already have and, if they don't have enough money, then they should have been more prudent during their working lives. This budget has done nothing for the young people of this land who are already demoralised by the lack of apprenticeships and other employment opportunities. I have nothing against pensioners, but they should try and survive on what someone in their twenties has too! Then pensioners really might have something to complain about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I imagine that most if not all pensioners did experience the same problems when they were in their twenties. They probably lived through the Second World War, the Cold War and numerous other situations that today's twenty somethings won't have to worry about. Every generation gets their own set of problems to deal with and how they cope is what defines them, but just complaining about something won't change anything. You are dealt a hand of cards and it's up to the players to do their best."
