GIRLS from Nailsworth and Stroud primary schools were encouraged to develop a passion for science during an event at Westonbirt School.

More than 80 Year 5 girls from 16 schools across the district took part in a variety of workshops during the science day and got the chance to use simple robots and find out more about artificial Intelligence.

The girls also learnt about space, the development of neuroscience and the need for renewable energy sources.

Year 10 students from Westonbirt supported the teachers with the workshops.
