A DAREDEVIL from Minchinhampton is taking a leap into the unknown to raise money for charity.

Retail assistant Sarah Goodfield,23, is aiming to raise cash for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity by leaping out of an aircraft on Sunday, April 27.

Sarah says: “I’m scared of heights, but a skydive is on my bucket list and I thought I should do it now while I still have the nerve!”

While challenging herself, Sarah is also using the jump to join in with fellow members of the Stobart Club, the society dedicated to fans of the Eddie Stobart fleet of trucks. She says: “The club supports the Roald Dahl charity and several of the drivers who star on the C5 programme Stobart: Trucks Trains and Planes are taking part, so it’s going to be a national day of skydiving.”

So far Sarah’s raised £291 towards her miminum target of £400, and she’s organising a pub quiz as well as appealing for sponsorship to raise more funds. If anyone would like to sponsor her leap next month they’re asked to do so via her webpage at http://www.doitforcharity.com/SGoodfield
