SCARECROWS will be popping up all over the place in Chalford this weekend.
The annual Chalford Scarecrow trail opens on Saturday, April 12 and runs daily from 10am to 5pm until Monday, April 21.
As always the trail starts and finishes at Vale House in High Street where maps and refreshments are available.
Peter Joy estate agents is sponsoring the event and prizes have been donated by various local businesses.
The winning entry will win tickets for a family of four to see Giffords Circus at Minchinhampton this year and Lavender Bakehouse has also donated a prize for 'best scarecrow'.
A number of businesses will also be making scarecrows for the first time including Pangolin Editions, Manouche, True Function, Gold Seal Photography, Victoria Works and Lavender Bakehouse.
Last year’s event was very successful and raised enough funds to pay for an outdoor table tennis set which has been installed in the Valley Park just in time for the start of this year’s trail.
