POLICE are investigating after two women were seriously assaulted in Cheltenham.

The incident happened at 3am on Saturday, April 13 in Regent Street, a short distance from Moo Moos nightclub.

One of the victims received a serious facial injury requiring four stitches to her lip and a displaced tooth.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call police on 101 quoting incident 79 of April 13.

A 24-year old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the case and has been bailed to attend Gloucester police station on Wednesday, May 21.
