GRANDMOTHER Sheila Goodwin, 72, splashed out to raise more than £400 for Sport Relief.
Sheila, who taught PE at Wycliffe College for 22 years until she retired almost 10 years ago, took part in a sponsored mile swim.
Millions of people across the country either ran, swum or cycled one mile in order to raise money for the charity.
The mother of four, who lives in Trinity Drive, Minchinhampton with husband Peter, swan 64 lengths of the pool at Cotswold Leisure Centre in Cirencester at 7.30am on Friday, April 4.
“It took me about 50 minutes to complete,” said Sheila, who has nine grandchildren and who is also a member of the Stuart Singers in Minchinhampton.
“I felt fine afterwards by my shoulders started to ache later in the day.
Sheila raised £410 for Sport Relief.
