PREPARATIONS are well under way for this year’s Cotswold Show on 5th and 6th July at Cirencester Park.

The new Food Festival will now include a cupcake decorating demonstration – a ‘have-a-go’ opportunity for children and adults (on a first come-first served basis). This will be run by Cirencester catering company Relish Events who are also bringing their popular Relish Café to the Show for the first time.

Food giant, Sainsbury’s, also joins the Show with cookery demonstrations from a mobile kitchen.

More animal attractions have been confirmed for both days. The Reedlands Retrievers Display team are joining the Show for the first time with their demonstration covering basic gun dog training skills. This is a great exhibit for anyone planning on taking up shooting with a dog or simply wanting to ensure good behaviour and obedience from their dog.

Atkins Alpacas will have a display area with animals and demonstrations of weaving which visitors can try. They will be joined by the Alpaca Experience – an opportunity to get right up close to a group of alpacas who are used to being stroked and handled.

Practical Horsemanship, a collaboration between Grant Bazin and Dan Wilson, who met whilst working for legendary American horse whisperer Monty Roberts will be helping young and troubled horses overcome all manner of behavioural issues, using their understanding of equine behaviour and their great blend of love for horses and sense of fun.

Early bird tickets, with big discounts on the gate price, are now on sale via the Show’s website Family tickets are just £28 for 2 adults and up to 3 children, adult tickets are just £10 and children (3-14 years) are £5. Under 3s are free.
