A POSTER design by a pupil at Thrupp School has been chosen to promote the Brimscombe and Thrupp Grand Village Fete this summer.
The fete celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, as does the poster competition which invites schoolchildren to produce a poster for the event.
This year’s winner was Riley Harrison, 11, whose winning design will be used to publicise the fete on May 17.
Riley was presented his prize certificate by Elizabeth Peters, fete co-ordinator, at a ceremony in assembly at Thrupp Primary School.
Elizabeth said: “We had well over 100 entries from three schools for the competition and Riley’s design was absolutely brilliant. He’d followed the brief and created a poster, leaving space for us to overprint details, and that was just what was required.”
