POLICE are appealing for information after a man committed a lewd act in Cheltenham on Thursday. The incident happened on the path near the Honeybourne Line close to the bridge over St Georges Road, between 3.15 - 4 pm. While walking past, the victim noticed a man step out from some bushes and commit a lewd act. On her return about half an hour later she observed the same man continuing to commit a lewd act.

She also noticed the man behaving in the same way at the same location on the previous Wednesday or Thursday.

The offender escaped through the gardens of houses in Gloucester Road. He is described as white, medium built, 1.75M tall, and in his 20s. He was wearing a light coloured top with buttons.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 377 of April 24.
