A PLANNING inquiry about plans to build 150 homes in Leonard Stanley begins today, Tuesday.
Proceedings were due to begin at 10am this morning at the council chamber in Ebley Mill, Stroud and will finish on Friday, May 2.
Last month Stroud District Council’s development control committee unanimously refused the application by developers Gladman to build on the site known locally as Mankley Field.
Although it had been recommended for approval by planning officers at SDC the committee members found new reasons for refusal and voted against the recommendation.
Gladman’s then lodged an appeal and the final decision will now be made by a planning inspector following the four day inquiry.
