Distinguished pianist Charles Owen will be joining the Quartet for the Festival's opening concert, playing Brahms' Piano Quartet, alongside Shostakovich Quartet No 4 and Haydn 'Russian' Quartet.

Premium seats are sold out for this concert, but we still have some Centre Nave and Side Aisle seats available.

Saturday 17th May 11am to 3.30pm - various free activities in Highnam Parish Rooms

Join us for a Family Concert at 11am, followed by young musicians from Highnam and Heron Primary Schools, who will be performing with the Quartet from 12pm. Bring a picnic and enjoy music from the next generation!

Rounding off the day's activities at 2pm, advanced young violinists will be taking part in a masterclass with Katharine Gowers.

All events are completely FREE and no need to pre-book - just turn up!

Saturday 17th May at 7.30pm in Holy Innocents Church

For Saturday night's concert the Quartet are joined by Charles Owen, and violinist Katharine Gowers, who will be performing Mozart's Violin Sonata in G major together, before joining the Quartet for Ernest Chausson's Concerto for Violin, Piano and Quartet. Tickets are still available in all seating areas for this concert, with prices from just £9.

Sunday 18th May at 11am at Highnam Court

Often cited as a Festival highlight, the Quartet will be performing beautiful, impressionistic quartets by Ravel and Bonnal in the Orangery at Highnam Court on Sunday morning. After the concert, audience members will have the chance to enjoy a sherry or a cup or coffee whilst exploring the wonderful gardens at Highnam Court (picnic lunches welcome).

The venue has a small capacity, which usually sells out before the day, but at the time of writing we do still have tickets available, so book now to be sure of your place.

Sunday 18th May at 4.30pm in Holy Innocents Church

This year's Festival finale is a foot-tapping guest appearance by guitar duo The Katona Twins, who will be joining the Quartet for music by Boccherini, Vivaldi and Piazzolla, as featured on their CD for Channel Classics.

Before the concert, join the Quartet for a Festival Cream Tea in Gambier Parry Hall.
