A COW has been rescued from the River Severn in a three-hour operation involving two teams of firefighters.
On Monday, May 5, a member of the public called Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service, reporting a cow in distress on the river, near Passage Road in Arlingham.
At around 10am, two pumping appliances along with a boat from both Gloucester stations were mobilised with a total crew of 12 firefighters.
After the three-hour operation, the cow was found, rescued and lead to safety using an animal harness.
Luckily it was rescued without any injuries.
