THERE is severe disruption to rail services between Swindon and Gloucester after a death on the line in Stroud.

The following information has been posted by First Great Western on its website. 

"Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 mins or diverted between Swindon and Gloucester at short notice.

"Kemble, Stroud and Stonehouse will not be served.

"An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed.

"Cross Country services are conveying passengers between Bristol Temple Meads and Cheltenham Spa in both directions until further notice.

"Arrangements have been made for First Great Western rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.

"Replacement road transport services are conveying passengers between Swindon and Gloucester in both directions until further notice.

"Very limited replacement road transport is calling at Kemble, Stroud and Stonehouse.

"Passengers travelling from Swindon to Gloucester and from Gloucester to Swindon are advised to travel via Bristol Parkway."
