THE PUBLIC are invited to try clay pigeon shooting during National Shooting Week.

National Shooting Week run from, Saturday, May 24 until Saturday, May 31 and offers the public a taste of the commonwealth games sports of clay pigeon and target shooting.

The Ian Coley Shooting School in Andoversford, Gloucester will be offering have-a-go clay pigeon shooting at a reduced price each day.

Each day during the week, from 3-5pm, the Ian Coley Shooting School will offer 20 shots for the knockdown price of £20 – usual price is 25 targets for £49.

Around 60 shooting grounds around the country have signed up for the seventh National Shooting Week.

NSW’s main aims are to enable anyone to try shooting for the first time and to promote respect for and understanding of legal firearms and airguns.

Olympic gold medallist, Peter Wilson said: “Shooting is an amazing sport.

“It instils strong values of respect, honesty, safety and a competitive spirit in those taking part, so is a great sport for children to get involved in.”
