STROUD photographer Ruth Davey and community artist Lis Parker are running a free photography and land art workshop Discover Applewood at the new Applewood housing development in Cashes Green on Saturday, from 10.30am to 4pm. The workshop is for residents of Cashes Green and those who have been involved in the new housing development. It is suitable for adults and children of all abilities. Booking is essential.

The workshop will be documented and included in the book that Ruth and Lis are writing From Hospital to Home that tells the story of the old hospital, including its history, stories from people who used to work there, its demolition, and the development of the new Applewood housing project. Kevin McCloud of Grand Designs, whose company Habhousing is a key partner in the development, has kindly agreed to write the foreword.
