POLICE have seized more than 60 plants, believed to be cannabis, from a house in Chipping Sodbury.
Officers were called to the property in Hatters Lane at about 12.30pm yesterday (May 14).
After being unable to contact the tenant, a representative of the landlord had visited the property and seen growing equipment inside.
Officers found evidence of plants being grown in three rooms of the house.
A team from Avon and Somerset Constabulary's Operation Viscount attended the scene and seized the plants and growing equipment. Operation Viscount is a specialist team dedicated to tackling cannabis production across the Avon and Somerset policing area.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Rob Cainey said: “Our enquiries are continuing, but I would obviously like to thank the person who called to report this.
"We welcome calls from anyone with information about suspected criminal activity.”
