APPLICATIONS are now being taken for entrants looking to submit and display their work in front of a celebrity judge panel.

Held in the streets of Painswick the return of the Art Couture will commence on Sunday, July 13.

Creative talent at the renowned wearable art festival is invited to display work, encouraging people of all ages to participate in making works of art.

Models will be dressed in mind-boggling materials ranging from electrical wire and clip ties to full body paint.

Last year, 10,000 people flocked to view the incredible outfits, hosted in part by actor and musician Keith Allen, who has once again agreed to compare the event this year.

Keith will join ACP’s panel of judges which includes Dr Dawn Harper from Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies.

This year’s event celebrates the centenary of the 1st World War, with categories independent designer, college student, 18 and over and under 12s choosing from the themes, reflections, invasions or legends.

Entrants to the creative headwear categories will be basing their designs on the theme of elements and body art designers have been given heroes and heroines.

The streets of Painswick will also be filled with a colourful array of stalls selling hand crafted goods, food and drink, music stages will be dotted throughout the village. As well as cash prizes, the festival competition offers work placements as prizes to college students.
