A THOUSAND miles is a long way by any method of transport- but a heroic trio is attempting to cycle the distance in just nine days.
Led by Stroud’s own Ben Morgan, three friends are aiming to raise £9,000 for Starlight Children’s Foundation, by cycling from country-spanning route from John O’Groats to Lands End.
Ben, 36, is a Director at the agency Fusionworkshop, and before the challenge had never owned a bicycle since childhood.
He said: “My decision to ride a bike from John O’Groats to Lands End was made, as many decisions are, without understanding what I was taking on, but I know our efforts will help Starlight.“
Ben, along with Jason Peacock and James Wood, are all passionate about the work of Starlight, a national charity which grants children with serious and terminal illnesses and provides entertainment in UK hospitals and hospices.
