POLICE are appealing for information after a man committed a lewd act in Tetbury.
The incident happened in the graveyard at St Mary’s Church in Bath Road at 2 pm on Monday, May 19.
The victim initially saw a lady with a spaniel fleeing from a man with a small dog resembling a terrier and on a lead.
About 20 minutes later, while sitting on a churchyard bench, the victim was approached by the same man who exposed himself to her as he walked past.
At this time he was no longer accompanied by his dog. The man left via the main exit and disappeared.
He is described as a white male, in his early 60s, 6ft 1 or 2 inches tall, with thin rimmed glasses, short grey or white unkempt hair, a grey beard, wearing dark green chino trousers, a royal blue chino style long sleeved shirt, with the sleeves rolled up.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 457 of May 19.
