A BUSY service station’s phone and card machine lines have finally been repaired, thanks in part to an SNJ story. John Stayte Services, on the A46 near Whitminster, had endured a nightmare month after service providers failed to make repairs- but hours after the story ran on Wednesday the phone lines and chip and pin machine were back.

The broken card machine restricted business for several days before a temporary machine was brought in, at great expense to the services. This caused further business to be lost, as the new machine did not accommodate the national discount Fuel Card, leading to further business lost.

Manager Mike Stayte, 59, expressed his gratitude to the SNJ and looks forward to putting the troubles behind him.
