POLICE have charged a Gloucester man in connection with the aggravated taking of a parcel delivery van in Hopewell Street in the city on Tuesday, May 20.
Christopher Daniel Thomas, 38 and of Baltimore Court in Brockworth, was also charged with dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified and theft from a motor vehicle.
He appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court yesterday and was remanded to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on June 20.
Officers are still keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident, particularly anyone who saw the Ford Transit van being driven in Abbeymead Avenue and Lobleys Drive between 3.10pm and 3.15pm.
Anyone with information should call 101 and ask for extension 7401 to speak to the officers investigating the case, quoting crime number 11337/14.
