A CAR boot sale was victim to a counterfeit money scam, with four offenders using fake £20 notes to pay for goods at Aston Down, Stroud.

The illegal tender was dealt between 9am and 9.25am on Sunday May 25, and the organiser challenged one of the offenders, who left along with the other three in a dark-coloured Ford Galaxy car.
