CHILDREN from Bisley Blue Coat Church of England Primary School will be dressing their village wells with flowers this afternoon, Thursday, to celebrate Ascension Day.

A procession, led by Bisley’s vicar the Rev Rosie Woodall, along with a cross bearer and Avening Silver Band, will lead youngsters through the streets to the ancient water head in Wells Road.

A church service at All Saints’ Church starts at 1.30pm and the procession starts at 2pm.

The school welcomes all visitors to end the celebration by joining them in Bisley WI Village Hall for afternoon tea.
