SLAD VALLEY will welcome over 300 walkers taking on a new trail as part of the Laurie Lee Celebration walk on Sunday 8 June.
Walkers will meet at 11am on the day the Slad poet and author Laurie Lee would have celebrated his 100th birthday.
Gloucester Wildlife Trust owns four nature reserves in the Slad Valley and planned the five-mile route around the valley that inspired the county’s most influential writer.
Walk organiser Jan Ryder said the Trust were “delighted” with the number of people already registered, but encouraged more people to sign up at www.gloucestershirewildlifetrust.co.uk/laurielee
