DAMIAN Awford-Nash, head chef at Gloucestershire Cricket is currently battling against nine other chefs from England’s international cricket grounds, in Waitrose’s search for the best food in cricket.

Each chef has submitted a dish from their ground’s menu to be judged by an expert panel including ECB selector and former England cricketer, Angus Fraser, Masterchef 2010 winner Dhruv Baker and Gordon McDermott, Executive Chef at the Waitrose Cookery School.

However the final winner is decided by public vote alone.

The Centerplate catering team at The Bristol Pavilion are drumming up support for Damian across their 50 UK sites.

His poached Scottish salmon with lemon crème fraiche is the taste of the season in the Grace Resturant.

Visit the Waitrose Cricket Cook Off website to vote, view all the chefs’ recipes and to watch a video of Damian discussing his dish, and why he feels it accurately represents the finest food the county has to offer.
