STAFF at EquiFest remained cool, calm and collected after winning a national award for business innovation.
The Nailsworth-based company which manufactures supplements for horses won the award for innovation at the FSB WorldPay UK Business Awards last month, following on from developing a magnesium assessment system that has revolutionised its customer service.
This week Stroud MP Neil Carmichael visited the company and was given a tour of the premises in Spring Mill Industrial Estate.
Mr Carmichael was shown around by company directors Sally and Malcolm Green and learnt about the equine supplement industry and the innovation which lead to the award.
He also learnt about the company’s top product Cool, Calm and Collected, which claims to calm down nervous horses.
Mr Carmichael said: “I wish EquiFeast every success as they continue to expand in the future.”
The firm and its sister companies Dr S, CrocDoc and The Birdcare Company, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
The company has taken on more staff as a result of its growth, including three equine science graduates.
