A 35-year old motorcyclist died in a motorcycle accident near Hartpury, Gloucester yesterday.

The accident happened in Lower Apperley and the man, from Newent, was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor.

Support was provided by paramedics including the crews of two helicopters.

A second motorcyclist was riding with him but was not involved in the accident The deceased was riding a black Suzuki GSXR motorcycle when it left the road. His next of kin and the coroner have been informed.

The cause of death has yet to be established.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101, quoting incident 257 of June 2.
