STROUD’S finest young netball players gathered on Monday, June 2 for a fun-filled district tournament.

Gifted and talented students from 10 local schools gathered at Gastrells Primary School for the tournament, which was overseen by the watchful eyes of teachers Jacob Muskett and Samantha Turner.

Mr Turner said: “All 10 schools sent in two or three of their best players and it was fantastic to allow the children in mixed teams of players of similar abilities.”

With the success of the meeting another tournament will be held in the autumn.
