THIS Father’s Day, Stonehouse Rotary Club has organised a charity walk to celebrate dads throughout Stroud.

To honour and celebrate fatherhood, the renowned Frampton Manor and Frampton Court gardens will be open along with 13 other gardens to raise money for charity.

Celebrating paternal bonds and the influence of fathers in society, Stonehouse Rotary Club has organised the event on Sunday, June 15 from 1.30pm to 5.00pm.

Last year the event managed to raise about £2,000, however the club hope to raise more than this if the weather stays clear.

Rotarian John Jeynes said: “This is always a very enjoyable day out and one of the club’s main fundraisers.

“We were delighted this year to purchase and erect a brand new bench seat for the local people of Frampton by Roes Pool on the Green from some of the proceeds of last year’s event.”

There is ample free car parking in the centre of the village and Frampton Women’s Institute will be serving high class teas and cakes in the village hall.

Entry fee is £5 for adults and it is free for under-16s walking.
