A TEENAGE footballer, charged with assaulting rival players, has appeared in court.
Ashley Witts, 18, of Kaskelot Way, Hempsted, faces charges of actual bodily harm and common assault, afflicted against two footballers on a rival team on September 29, last year.
He appeared before Gloucester Crown Court on Thursday, June 12.
Prosecutor Julian Kesner said one of the victims suffered a broken nose and that both attacks happened on the ball.
Witts was playing for Hardwicke Rangers U18s against Tetbury based Avonvale United when the incidents occurred.
He is yet to enter a plea and the case was adjourned until July 7.
