A TEENAGE motorist escaped unhurt after crashing into a hedge near Salmon Springs, Stroud.

The 19-year-old Stroud man collided with fencing and lodged his car quite high in the hedge whilst passing through Salmon Springs on the A46 towards Cheltenham on Sunday.

The man received no injuries and was able to get out of his car to be seen by a paramedic.  His Audi A3 was badly damaged however.

Police were made aware of the incident at 7.36pm and the car was recovered to a yard in Cheltenham before 1am later that night.
