POLICE are calling for information following the assault of a man in Cheltenham.

The incident took place in Kew Place, 10 metres from the junction with Bath Road shortly before 2am on Wednesday, June 11.

The victim received a blow to the head and a number of cuts from two men, one of whom was possibly in possession of a knife.

One of the suspects was believed to be 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing blue baggy jeans, dark baseball cap and dark hoody.

Both males were seen to depart in the direction of the college.

Anyone who has any information should call police on 101, quoting incident 32 of June 11 and crime number 13093/14.
