TWO Amberley authors have been honoured with OBEs in the Queen’s birthday honours list.
Liz Willis and Jenny Daisley, authors of the best-selling Springboard Women's Development Workbook, published by Hawthorn Press, have both been awarded OBEs for services to the empowerment and development of women in the UK and worldwide.
“We are absolutely delighted and honoured, both personally, and because women’s development work is being recognised in this way,” said Liz.
“It feels like we are receiving this, not just for ourselves, but also on behalf of our colleagues and clients around the world.
“It is an enormous acknowledgement of our joint achievements.”
Hawthorn Press Publisher Martin Large said: “Women hold up half the sky, so let's celebrate the inspired and practical leadership of Liz and Jenny.
“They have worked hard for over 30 years to provide quality development training to women from diverse backgrounds both in Britain and globally and Hawthorn Press is proud to be their publisher.”
