SUMMER arrived with a splash at the weekend as families flocked to the open air pool at Stratford Park Leisure Centre.
On one of the hottest days of the year so far, the lido was the perfect place to top up a tan and cool off.
Over the weekend, temperatures reached staggering highs of 22 degrees Celsius in Stroud.
The pool is open everyday from 11am until 5pm until the end of August.
During exceptionally busy periods, staff try to stay open until 7pm.
The unheated spring water filled pool opened in 1936.
Families also enjoyed picnics in Stratford Park and ice creams on the common.
