THE sun was shining as families in Stroud put on their trainers and took part in Race 4 All organised by the Door Youth Project.

This year’s event was bigger and better with the launch of the 1k children’s run for those aged between five to 10 years old.

More than 30 competitors from all walks of life ran the 5k fun run on Minchinhampton Common raising money for their chosen charities. This year also saw many people dressed in fancy dress.

Harry Gardner, apprentice fundraiser at The Door said: “Not only does it help us promote the Door Youth Project but we get to help other charities too.

“This year we had little primary school aged children run first.

“It was truly a race for all.”

This year the race raised funds for Wooden Spoon Charity, the National Trust, food banks, the Stroke Association, Whitminster Primary School and of course the Door Youth Project.
