ENGLAND’S 2-1 defeat to Uruguay last night ended in a punch up outside the Sub Rooms in Stroud.

Police arrived at the venue in Kendrick Street at 10pm, just after the crucial World Cup game had finished, to find a large number of people fighting outside on the Sub Rooms forecourt.

According to a police spokesman it ended up being ‘good natured’ and there were no reports of injuries and no arrests were made.
