TWO Minchinhampton golfers set for a marathon 101-hole game to raise money for charity.

Nick Haile and Rob Ralph are both employees of the golf shop at Minchampton New Course, and will take to the green for the epic five-and-a-half round challenge on Wednesday, July 9.

They will begin at 5am in order to complete the 32 mile long venture on foot by the late evening and will not even stop to eat.

Mr Haile said: “I am completely destroyed after two or three rounds of golf, so the challenge will be extremely tough.”

The pair are completing the challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in respect of the members of the club who have suffered and battled the disease.
